M. Paric
With an academic background in anthropology and public health, Martina Paric bridges research in social science and applied health. She specializes in qualitative methods to explore how cultural competence and leadership are taught, developed, and applied in public health workforce development. Her PhD focuses on the distinct competencies public health professionals need to address health disparities at population level and work in culturally diverse settings. Her work is interdisciplinary, policy-relevant, and globally collaborative. Martina has contributed to multipartner and multicountry projects such as SEEEPHI, HELEMEU, and NAWA—where she coordinated a key deliverable. Currently, she is supporting research into topics relevant to the WHO Collaborating Centre for Public Health Leadership and Workforce Development, and has contributed to the WHO-Ukraine collaboration in exploring synergies between One Health and leadership.
Martina is also a lecturer and course coordinator for the Bachelor of European Public Health (EPH) and Master of Governance and Leadership in European Public Health (GLEPH) programs at Maastricht University.
