Krishnamani Jayaraman (K.)

Krishnamani Jayaraman is a PhD Scholar within the European IP Institutes Network Innovation Society (EIPIN-Innovation Society)-A Horizon 2020 Marie SkÅ‚odowska Curie Action ITN-EJD framework. Under the work package "IP as a complex adaptive system", Jayaraman's research theme is titled "Bridging the Valley of Death in biomedical sciences -Progressive Adaptations to Innovation Law and Policy". Jayaraman pursues his PhD research under the supervision of Prof.Dr.Anselm Kamperman Sanders (UM) and Prof.Dr.Josef Drexl (MIPLC). Dr. Anke Moerland (UM) is his co-supervisor.

A technolegal expert, Jayaraman has over a decade of professional expertise in the field of patents in the life sciences sector. Notable professional experiences include (1) Examiner of patents (life sciences) and Designs in the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks, Govt of India and (2) Head-IP Management for Sami Labs Limited (Bangalore, India)/Sabinsa Corporation, NJ, USA group of companies at the R&D center in Bangalore, India.

Jayaraman's academic expertise include research Masters degrees in 1. Medical Microbiology from the Faculty of Medicine, Manipal University, India and 2. Intellectual Property Law and Knowledge Management from the Department of International and European Law, Maastricht University, The Netherlands.
