Ski or snowboard lessons and fun on the slopes

Free skiing or snowboarding

During this evening, you will be able to ski or snowboard independently for 4 hours. A get-together in the ski huts on the other side of the slopes will put you in a good mood, create a social atmosphere and ensure a great night out.

Classes

If you wish, experienced instructors can give you ski and snowboard lessons and teach you more about the snow sport. These lessons are perfect for those who are new to the slopes. People with more experience can sharpen their skills in different workshops focusing on different techniques. Spots for the beginners lessons are limited and you need to register in advance. Advanced classes can be attended on the spot, no pre-registration needed.

Costs

The costs are € 27.50 (non-refundable). This includes entrance to SnowWorld, transport to and from SnowWorld, parking costs, snowboard and ski lessons and snowboard and ski equipment (specification below).

Clothing and equipment

You will need the following clothing and equipment (also available for rent at SnowWorld):

• Ski suit (or trousers and jacket) (for rent for € 11)
• Skis or snowboard (included)
• Shoes (included)
• Helmet (mandatory, free to rent)
• Gloves (mandatory, can be purchased for € 7,50)

You may also bring your own material if you have it.

Transport

Transport will be provided free of charge by UM SPORTS. A bus will leave from the University Sports Centre (USC) and return there as well. The buses will leave at 18:00 and head back around 23:30/00:00. It is also possible to go by own transportation (and thus at your own expense). In that case, also keep in mind the parking costs.

Do you want to go to SnowWorld? Then you can register in MyUSC. You have to pay there as well (€ 27.50, non-refundable). Payment can only be done online. If you will be using your own transportation, please send us an email with your means of transport and the license plate number of your car (if applicable).

Insurance

Please note: participation is at your own risk. There is no additional insurance coverage when participating in this event. We strongly recommend acquiring your own insurance protection.

Photographs and film recordings

UM SPORTS reserves the right to take photogaphs and make film recordings during the event for its own publicity and information purporses. By participating in this event, you agree to this use.
