"Assessing thromboelastometry, coagulation and fluid resuscitation strategies in postpartum haemorrhage"
This thesis determined reference values for ROTEM thromboelastometry during labour. The hypercoaguable state in pregnancy was confirmed, as was the correlation between some ROTEM parameters and conventional laboratory tests. The chance of abnormal coagulation values is low. In the second part the thesis investigated the effect of restrictive fluid resuscitation in women with mild postpartum haemorrhage. Restrictive fluid resuscitation is not inferior to standard therapy.
