Opening Exhibition: Global Minds, Local Roots (UB Special Collections)
The Global Minds, Local Roots Exhibition is part of SBE's 40-year anniversary celebration and is a collaboration between SBE and the Special Collections of the UM Library.
The Special Collections and SBE share a unique bond rooted in history. The Canisianum section of the Jesuit Library, now the core of the Special Collections, was once housed in the 1938 building at Tongersestraat 53.
SBE’s 40th anniversary is an ideal moment to celebrate the deep-rooted connection between our history and the world of education. This exhibition shines a light on the intentional choice of the building, showcasing treasures from the Canisianum collection and artefacts that tell the inspiring story of the Jesuits, Tongersestraat 53, and SBE.
