-

In this 2-hour online workshop, we'll highlight the relevance of reflection in the professional development of teachers and learners.

1x 1-2 hour preparation (watching a webinar before the workshop)
1x 2-hour workshop online via Zoom

Description
With our experience in teaching and supervising students, we will all agree that reflecting on your practice is an important tool to understand and monitor your progress and professional growth. Thus making professionalisation meaningful. But what exactly is reflection? Why is it important, and what helpful models can support you in reflecting effectively? In this 2-hour online workshop, we will take a closer look at these questions and highlight the relevance of reflection in the professional development of teachers and learners.

Intended learning outcomes
In participating in this CPD activity, you will:

  • gain insight into how reflecting on your teaching can benefit your own professionalisation and teaching and learning activities,
  • learn more about the ALACT Model by Fred Korthagen and how to use it effectively,
  • discuss the relation between theory and practice leading to meaningful (teaching) professionalisation.

PLEASE NOTE that this workshop is in English and is planned to take place online via Zoom. You will receive the exact details in an Outlook invitation before the event.
