Tijdens dit seminar wordt teruggeblikt op wat bijna drie decennia onderzoek naar georganiseerde misdaad in Nederland hebben opgeleverd over modus operandi, criminele samenwerkingsverbanden, criminele levenslopen van verdachten en de aanpak door politie en justitie. Ook wordt gereflecteerd op de lessen die uit de MGC zijn getrokken voor zowel wetenschap als praktijk.
