External PhD researcher

Diederik van Duuren

He is currently working on the project SUPERLOCAL (Super Circular Estate UIA and LIFE Local Water Adapt). Since January 2019 he is an external PhD Researcher at ICIS. He will conduct his research on developing SUPERLOCAL into a transition experiment to maximize learning from collective local climate adaptive water management systems. Therefore, he collaborates with for example GLOCULL and KWR Water Cycle Research Institute. ​

Diederik van Duuren (1991) holds a Bachelor Degree in Future Planet Studies (UvA, with distinction, 2016) with a specialization in urban planning, and a Master Degree in Sustainability Science and Policy (UM, with distinction, 2017). Since then, he worked at the Drinking water company of the Province of Limburg (WML) as a strategy and innovation advisor on the domain of sustainability and as a lecturer at the University of Amsterdam.
