Career history

Cerien Streefland (1967) studied medical and molecular biology at the University of Groningen. After her PhD in the field of neuroscience (1998) she worked in policy advisory and management positions at the same university. In 2010 she was appointed managing director of the Donders Center for Neuroscience at the Radboud University Nijmegen and the Radboud UMC.

Since November 2015, Cerien has been working as director of the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences at Maastricht University. She currently holds the position of director of the Faculty of Psychology and Neurosciences at the same university.

Since 2019, Cerien has been active as domain team lead of the I-Operations domain within Maastricht University, where all IT-related projects in the field of university business operations pass through.
