Frequently Asked Questions regarding your personal profiele page.

Every employee has the right to object to the publication of his/her profile.
If you do not want your profile to be published then please contact your manager.

  • Do you recommend to upload all the personal profile information in one go?
When you would like to publish a lengthy piece of information, it might be a good idea to create the content in Word first, and copy-paste it afterwards to the corresponding field on your profile page. By following this working method, you always have a backup of your information.

Next to that, we structured the information in small pieces, in order to follow the steps at your own pace in any preferable order.

  • Is there a language preference according to your personal profile page?
Most of the research profile pages are in English. However, if your field of expertise or target audience is based in the Netherlands then you might prefer to create a Dutch profile page.

  • My profile is not easily found on Google, can I improve this?
Google searches for first name and surname. As the Dutch Data Protection Act requires that you have to give a permission to show your informal first name on Internet. Please check-in the box 'Internet' under the field 'Nickname'.
