Support for students with caring responsibilities
The UM is a caring university, and we’re proud of that. We understand that it can be challenging to balance studying with caregiving responsibilities, whether you’re caring for your own child or for a family member or loved one.
That is why we offer facilities and support that make it easier for you to manage both. Depending on your personal situation, available support may include:
- preferred scheduling
- adjusted exam locations
- access to the lactation- and resting rooms
- financial support if you incur a study delay due to special circumstances
We recommend informing your study adviser about your caring responsibilities as early as possible. This allows you to discuss the options available and get the support when you need it.
Check the overview of study advisers to find the one for your faculty or study programme.
