S.S. Kotala
I am currently a PhD Researcher at the Department of Advanced Computing Sciences (DACS). My work lies in the field of reinforcement learning incorporated with model predictive control applied in the setting of coordinating autonomous agents.
I had previously worked as a Junior Lecturer at DACS from September 2024 till January 2025 before beginning my PhD Position in January 2025. Prior to this I have obtained my BSc Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and MSc Data Science for Decision Making also at DACS.
Throughout my bachelors and masters programmes here at DACS, I have worked on adaptive signal processing techniques such as: a pipeline for applying Singular Spectrum Decomposition onto Gravitational Wave Signals; Randomised Singular Spectrum Decomposition; and Tensor-Based Decomposition Techniques for adaptive signal processing.
I am involved in a few research groups here at DACS, these include: the Cognitive Systems research theme, the Systems and Control research theme, and the Computing Sciences Education groups. I've also recently been awarded an EdLab Innovation Grant to develop an AI tutor for mathematics preliminaries.
