Robin Hofmann (R.)
Dr. Robin Hofmann is an assistant professor at the Department for Criminal Law and Criminology at Maastricht University. His research interests are in empirical and comparative legal research, cross-border cooperation in criminal matters, the European Criminal Justice Area and international policing. He has conducted comparative research on cross-border cooperation in criminal matters between The Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium as well as field research in Kosovo on police reform and the use of Information Communication Technologies for Community Oriented Policing.
Robin Hofmann holds a PhD in law from the University of Bochum, Germany written on EU crime and migration policies. He has a background in German law as well as in sociology and has worked as a legal trainee for the German Foreign Office in Berlin and for the UNICTY in The Hague.
