Professional Diploma on Privacy Management

The Professional Diploma on Privacy Management from Maastricht University is designed for professionals who want to specialise themselves in the field of privacy and cybersecurity under the GDPR and EU AI Act. You will acquire the multidisciplinary skills needed to advance in your role as data protection or privacy officer and assume key responsibilities related with data protection, data governance and data security.
The programme consists of two ECPC courses and writing a thesis or completing an assignment in your organisation:
Master Class: Privacy Management and Data Governance under the GDPR and EU AI Act
This intensive one-week Master Class provides advanced, practice-oriented guidance on the design, implementation, governance, and audit of privacy management and data governance frameworks under both the GDPR and the EU AI Act.

Emerging Issues and Challenges in Privacy and Cybersecurity
During the 2-day online programme, current challenges and ongoing developments in privacy and cybersecurity are discussed.

Thesis
After completing both courses, you will need to write a thesis or complete an assignment in your organisation within one year, to obtain the Professional Diploma on Privacy management. During this process you will be assigned a Maastricht University supervisor who will guide you during this process.
