Meet Lucia, the new student assistant at SUM2030

Hi! my name is Lucia Castellanos, and I come from Santa Cruz, Bolivia. I am currently in my second year of a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Economics, a program that allows me to combine my interest in understanding how markets function with my passion for solving real-world challenges. I consider myself an outgoing and social person who truly enjoys meeting new people, learning from different cultures, and building meaningful connections.
At SUM2030, I work as a student assistant in the communications area. My main responsibilities include coordinating and publishing the Sustainability Newsletter, a project that allows me to keep the university community informed and engaged with sustainability topics. In addition, I manage sustainability updates on the university website and work in liaison with the Green Office.
This position has been an incredible opportunity for me to develop skills in communication, organization, and teamwork, while also aligning with my personal values of contributing to a better and more sustainable world. I am truly excited about what lies ahead, and I feel grateful to be part of a team where our work makes a tangible impact. Knowing that even small efforts can inspire change motivates me every day to keep learning and giving my best.
