Lecture 1: Trump & trade wars, Europe between Scylla & Charybdis

John Clarke was until recently the EU's chief agriculture negotiator, and is a former Head of the EU Delegation to the WTO and UN in Geneva. He has thirty five years of experience as a trade negotiator and diplomat.  He is a Fellow of Maastricht University, a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society, as well as of the British Institute for International and Comparative Law. John was recently appointed as a member of the UK Trade and Business Commission. He writes and lectures extensively on trade policy matters. He is also a Special Trade Adviser for FIPRA a Brussels-based public affairs consultancy. He is a member of the Travellers Club of London, and of the Club Diplomatique de Belgique.
