PLEASE NOTE: protest against budget cuts in Utrecht cancelled
The protest against budget cuts to higher education, which was planned for tomorrow in Utrecht, has unfortunately been cancelled.
In a letter from the mayor, police and prosecutors, the organisers were advised to cancel the protest ‘because the safety of the protesters cannot be sufficiently guaranteed’.
The university’s Executive Board deeply regrets this outcome. We appreciate everyone’s involvement, but we must prioritise the safety of our staff and students. Therefore, we urge everyone not to travel to Utrecht.
