L.B. Knuth

Luca Knuth is a double degree Ph.D. researcher at the Law Faculties of Maastricht University and Kiel University. He holds a position at the latter’s Herman Kantorowicz Institute for Fundamental Legal Research. His Ph.D. project investigates the practice of judicial review under circumstances of scientific complexity and uncertainty. In his research, he focuses on topics related to EU risk regulation with a particular focus on the role of (regulatory) science. 

Luca has studied law at Kiel University, was a student assistant at its chair for legal philosophy, and graduated from Maastricht University's LL.M. programme in EU law in 2022. He held scholarships by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.
