Ernst Homburg appointed member of merit Royal Netherlands Chemical Society
Emeritus professor Ernst Homburg has been appointed member of merit at the Royal Netherlands Chemical Society (KNCV).
Ernst Homburg has been a member of the KNCV since 1974. From the moment the organisation formally established a Chemical History Group (Chemie Historische Groep) in 1999, he has been involved in this group as a board member. He was chairman until 2009, secretary from 2009 until 2018 and since then he has been both chairman and secretary.
The Royal Chemical History Group is the largest chemical professional association in the Netherlands. Its member base consists of people with a shared passion for molecules and includes chemists, life scientists, process technologists and (bio-)molecular scientists. The 8,500 members bring the variety and richness of the molecular field to life, operate in business, education and government or study at universities or institutions of higher education in Netherlands.
