Maastricht Wins Jessup National Rounds!
After four high-quality and competitive preliminary rounds, the team advanced to the final. They were successful against the team from the University of Amsterdam and won the Dutch National Rounds of the Jessup competition. Nga Janda was also awarded the prize for 2nd best speaker in the competition, and the team won the 3rd prize for their memorials.
The national rounds of the world's biggest moot court competition took place from 29-31 January 2020. The Maastricht team consisted of Anïssa Boukabous, Nga Janda, Maria Matias and Robyn Titulski, and was coached by Craig Eggett and Sarah Thin.
As Dutch champions, the team will now go on to represent the Netherlands at the Jessup International Rounds in Washington D.C. This will take place in April, and will see the team plead before international judges and leading academics against law faculties from over 100 jurisdictions.
