Prof. Ton Hartlief appointed Advocate-general at Supreme Court of the Netherlands
Ton Hartlief will be appointed Advocate-general at the Supreme Court of the Netherlands. The Cabinet decided to nominate him on the proposal of minister Van der Steur (Ministry of Security and Justice).
The appointment will be effective from 1 April 2016. Hartlief (1966) has been professor of Private Law at Maastricht University since 2001. Before that he was professor of Civil Law at Leiden University. He is expected to remain attached to Maastricht University.
