New publication by MCEL member Bruno De Witte
Prof. Bruno De Witte has published an article entitled 'Euro Crisis Responses and the EU Legal Order: Increased Institutional Variation or Constitutional Mutation?' in the latest issue of the European Constitutional Law Review (11:3, pp.434-457).
In his article Prof. De Witte illustrates how the Euro crisis reforms serve as a major example of interstitial institutional change in the EU. They triggered the creation of new organs and institution hybrids, new tasks for the EU institutions and more differentiated integration. The main question in this context is: If this amounts to a 'constitutional mutation' of the EU legal order or if this is a case of increased institutional variation.
