SDG Seminar series: Lobbying for climate (SDG 13)
Are you interested in how activities for lobbying for climate on an institutional level look like? During this SDG seminar, the SDG Watch Europe Coordinator Jeffrey Moxom and Eva Izquierdo, Climate Justice Policy Officer, from the European Environmental Bureau (EEB) provide you with insights into their work directly from Brussels focusing on aspects of lobbyism for climate and environment.
Learn more about aspects of their work, the actual impact they can have, the challenges they face as well as how lobbyism for climate could be supported from a student/research level. You will also be able to learn more about the activities of SDG Watch Europe, an EU-level, cross-sectoral CSO alliance of NGOs from development, environment, social, human rights and other sectors, for ambitious SDG implementation as well as about the REAL_DEAL project, a joint research project involving CSOs and research institutes which aims to stimulate a pan-European debate to reshape citizens’ active participation and deliberation in the green and just transition. Furthermore you may get insights on climate lobbying from citizens’ perspective and ways of participation.

Location
The presentation itself will be online through zoom. However, people are also able to gather in the presentation room at the Sustainable Hub at Tapijn to attend the meeting in-person and exchange there with other interested people.
