Campus Venlo introduction days 2021
We would like to give you a warm welcome at UM Campus Venlo. During these days you will receive the necessary practical information in several information sessions, but of course it is not all about work. There will be ample opportunity to get to know the city and your fellow students during various informal activities.

Participation in the introduction days is compulsory

Introduction activities will take place on campus, according to UM regulations

Some sessions will be offered online, and should (preferably) be viewed before the introduction day

A detailed version of the programme will be sent to you a week before the introduction
Registration
The introduction days at UM Campus Venlo are planned on the following days:

Obligatory pre-programme
There are a number of videos and texts you will have to watch/read before the start of the introduction days. The links to these videos will be shared in Canvas, the Learning Management System (LMS) that Maastricht University uses.
The videos and texts you are required to watch are:
- Building tour
- Get started with your introduction course
- Board of Examiners (masters only)
- Education Programme Committee (masters only)
- Office of Student Affairs (masters only)
- Introduction to the labs
A video instruction about Canvas will be shared with you a week before the introduction.
Additional information
Start of the academic year
The semester will start on 30 August 2021. Your detailed schedules will be made available on 12 August 2021 through the Student portal and https://timetable.maastrichtuniversity.nl
UM Cards
Once your status is set on ‘approved’, a UM card will be issued. There is no need for you to go Maastricht to collect your UM card. You will receive it at Campus Venlo during the introduction days.

Bring your portable device
During the first day of the intro you will get connected to the Wi-Fi and other e-facilities. So don’t forget to bring all your portable devices which need to be connected.
Lunch and dinner
During the whole course of the introduction days lunch will be served in the form of sandwiches. There will also be one dinner included for all three study programmes.
