De robotrechter, of toch liever een mens?

In de avond van 27 februari 2018 organiseert de Master Recht en Arbeid in samenwerking met JFV Ouranos een lezing waarbij de volgende vragen centraal zullen staan: ‘Heeft  een robotrechter te bieden wat een rechtszoekende verwacht van een zitting? Blijft de belangenafweging van de geschoolde jurist relevant?’ 

In dit thema worden wij meegenomen door Gijs van Dijck, hoogleraar privaatrecht bij Universiteit Maastricht en gepromoveerd op het gebruik van juridische data, en Bob Hoekstra, kantonrechter (arbeidsrecht) bij de Rechtbank Maastricht. Zij zullen dit onderwerp inleiden en met elkaar, maar vooral ook met de zaal, in discussie gaan. Na afloop zal er gelegenheid zijn om, onder genot van een borrel, de avond na te spreken.
