Nikos Parthenopoulos (N.)
Nikos is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Public Law since September 2022. His main
research interests are EU social security coordination and free movement of persons in the European Union. His PhD thesis focuses on the social security coordination rules for family benefits in the EU and the rights of cross-border families. His doctoral thesis touches upon important themes such as equality of treatment, social justice, welfare chauvinism, fairness, free movement of citizens and workers in the EU, and the rights of children and families.
He has completed his LL.M. studies in the European Law School (European Law and Market
Integration specialisation) of Maastricht University and his Bachelor of Laws at the University
of York (United Kingdom).
He has previous work experience in international organisations such as NATO.
