Constantijn van Aartsen (C.W.)

Dr. Constantijn van Aartsen is Lead Researcher for the Beyond Governance Project. He is also a Research Fellow at the ICGI and METRO research institutes and a Professional Support Lawyer at Van Doorne Advocaten. He was formerly a Postdoctoral Researcher for the Elverding Chair on Sustainable Business, Culture and Corporate Regulation.

Constantijn's research examines the roots of corporate (un)sustainability and offers an alternative vision on law and economics that opens the door to a more effective sustainability transition. His work is interdisciplinary and draws on insights from corporate legal theory, economics, political economy, anthropology, philosophy of science and research on sustainability issues.
