Gera Nagelhout (G.E.)
I am an endowed professor in ‘Health and Wellbeing of People with a Lower Socioeconomic Position’ at the department of Health Promotion of Maastricht University (two days per week). I am also lector ‘Engaged Science’ at Centre of Expertise Perspective in Health of Avans University of Applied Sciences (three days per week). I have a background in Communication Science and a PhD in Health Sciences. My research projects focus on health inequalities, poverty, and inequality of opportunity. My research also focuses on inclusive and participative research, citizen science, and appreciating experiential knowledge in all phases of health research.
