Housing in Maastricht

Are you coming to Maastricht and looking for a place to call home? Start your housing search as early as possible. The city has a high demand for student accommodation, and rooms fill up quickly especially in the summer. We strongly advise against coming to Maastricht without accommodation. Please know that Maastricht University (UM) cannot help you because we don’t offer student accommodation.

Although UM does not offer student accommodation directly, we have partnered with several organisations to help you find suitable accommodation. On this page, you’ll find everything you need to get started.

Maastricht Housing is the primary housing facilitator for UM, Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, and the Jan van Eyck Academy.

• UM Guesthouse: Fully furnished short stay rooms and studios for a safe and convenient start, ideal for exchange students.
• Housing corporations: including Maasvallei, Woonpunt, Servatius and Wonen Limburg known for reliable and affordable student housing.
• Private market: rooms, studios and apartments offered by private landlords and agencies.

Registering with Maastricht Housing costs €35 (one-time fee). You can pay using iDEAL/Wero, PayPal, Mastercard, Visa, Bancontact, GiroPay, or International or SEPA bank transfer.
