Recap: FASoS Story Slam
This year, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASoS) celebrated its 30th anniversary with a special event: the FASoS Story Slam. Held on Friday 27 September 2024, from 16.00 to 19.00 at FASoS, the event brought together students, staff – both past and present – and alumni to commemorate three decades of FASoS history.
The Story Slam provided a platform to share the personal stories, anecdotes, and memories that reflect the rich, vibrant life of the faculty beyond its academic achievements. Organized into three themed sessions – FASoS Life Stories, FASoS Work Stories, and FASoS Education Stories – attendees enjoyed heartwarming, humorous, and inspiring tales about friendships, work experiences, and the evolution of the faculty’s education programmes.
With drinks and bites, participants had the opportunity to reconnect, share their own stories, and celebrate the community that makes FASoS special. It was an unforgettable evening of reflection, connection, and celebration as the faculty looked back on 30 years of growth and achievements.
