Raf de Bont appointed member of the KNAW Council of the Humanities
Raf De Bont has been appointed member of the Council of the Humanities (Raad voor Geesteswetenschappen) of the KNAW.
The Council promotes scholarly research in the humanities, works to improve the position of the humanities in general, and facilitates dialogue and knowledge transfer between Dutch and foreign scholars.
Established in 1987, the Council focuses on the arts and culture, history, philological or historical aspects of the study of law, language and literature, theology, and philosophy. It organises discussion meetings, special projects and symposiums in connection with its advisory task.
