Congratulations: Best Demo Award at BioSB 2026 for Marvin Martens!
Marvin Martens received the Best Demo Award at the annual BioSB conference for demonstrating two web-based molecular Adverse Outcome Pathway (molAOP) tools developed within the VHP4Safety project. The tools help researchers connect transcriptomics data to mechanistic toxicology knowledge, supporting more transparent and biologically grounded chemical safety assessment. BioSB 2026 was hosted by Maastricht University, with colleagues from UM playing key roles in the organisation, including Susan Steinbusch-Coort as one of the conference chairs and contributions from Friederike Ehrhart, Denise Slenter, Lars Eijssen, and others.
The award-winning demo showcased the full molAOP workflow, from building molecular AOPs to analysing transcriptomics datasets in an interactive web environment. Congratulations to Marvin on this recognition!
