In memory of Hugo Heuveneers
It is with great sadness that we mourn the totally unexpected death of Hugo Heuveneers (†14 December 2017), first year European Law School Student. Hugo lived in Chaudfontaine, Belgium. Following his high school diploma and a first year of studies in Liège, he came to Maastricht in September 2017 with ambition and big dreams.
He was a very good student and an active part of the European Law School community, where he enjoyed meeting fellow students from all over the world. He was an engaged student who felt at home in his new surroundings.
We remember him as a hardworking, very intelligent and very friendly student. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family, loved ones and friends.
This week, room B.1.019 in our Faculty Building will be devoted to this loss and to those who wish to pay their respects and sign the condolence register or write a message in the register to Hugo’s parents and family members. In the course of January/February, a remembrance ceremony will be held at the Faculty of Law in honour of Hugo during which there will also be an opportunity to write a message in the condolence register.
It may be that you need spiritual assistance and guidance as a result of the passing of Hugo Heuveneers.
