Gemma van Ruitenbeek (G.M.C.)
Career history
Gemma is since 2010 employed at the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience. She is co-founder of the Centre of Expertise for Inclusive Organisations (Dutch: Centrum Inclusieve ArbeidsOrganisatie, abbreviated CIAO) that that focuses on promoting inclusive and sustainable work.
In 2023 she defended successfully her dissertation "Inclusion and beyond. Assessment, monitoring and development of the work capacity of people with limited work capacity."
In 2009 she gained her Master degree in heath Science, in the discipline Work and Health, at the Faculty of Health Medicine and Life Sciences.
Previous to that, she gained extensive knowledge and experience in the relation between work and health and the dynamics on the labour market as consultant work and health and as a manager at a an agency for temporary employment.
