"Balance and walking in bilateral vestibulopathy"
Bilateral vestibulopathy (BVP) is a chronic disorder causing unsteadiness and oscillopsia due to reduced function in both vestibular organs and/or nerves. Traditional vestibular tests often fail to reflect the real-life balance and gait issues faced by patients of BVP. This thesis explored methods for assessing these functional impairments, with a focus on their specificity, clinical feasibility and their application in evaluating treatments like the vestibular implant (VI).
