"Universal health coverage in Bhutan: an empirical enquiry"
The adoption of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) as part of the Sustainable Development Goals, reinforced by succeeding rounds of United Nations political declarations on UHC, has clearly accelerated the need to conceptualize, measure, and monitor UHC to track its progress globally and in individual countries.
This dissertation focuses on progress and constraints on UHC pathway in Bhutan through nuanced and empirical insights on the status, issues and opportunities. A comprehensive understanding of UHC in the country is expected to assist health planning and programming in the country while also offering methodological arguments for other countries with a similar context.
