“Tailored dosimetry in the radioiodine treatment of differentiated thyroid cancer”
This dissertation aims to accurately identify the radiation dose during treatment with radioactive iodine for differentiated thyroid cancer. The study initially focused on the application of personalised patient treatment using advanced 124I-positron emission tomography (PET). Based on the results, 124I-PET imaging provides valuable prognostic information that can support personalised therapy using radioactive iodine. In addition, advanced dosage calculations can result in cost-effective screening improvements for rooms in which therapeutic treatment using radioactive iodine takes place.
