"Dmt1, a novel regulator of physiological: Notch signalling and radiation sensitivity"
This thesis studied how a protein that brings iron into cells affects how cells handle radiation. The research showed that when this protein is missing, important messages inside the cell cannot be passed along properly because parts of the cell are damaged. The study also found that these cells are more easily harmed by radiation. This suggests that blocking this protein could help radiation treatments work better against cancer.
