There is no denying that AI, in the form of e.g. Large Language Models like ChatGPT, is here to stay and the systems behind the programmes are developing quickly. Therefore, CPD kicks off the new academic year with a special event, during which we'll dive into the topic of AI and its impact on higher education.

There is no denying that AI, in the form of e.g. Large Language Models like ChatGPT, is here to stay and the systems behind the programmes are developing quickly. Therefore, CPD kicks off the new academic year with a special event, during which we'll dive into the topic of AI and its impact on higher education.
To discuss these impacts on our teaching and learning at UM, we are very happy to announce that we will be joined for a lecture and workshop by Dr. Mairéad Pratschke, Professor and Chair in Digital Education in the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures at the University of Manchester. Furthermore, there is room for open discussion and reflection on the topic of the day and for your CPD plans and goals for the upcoming academic year.
