Experience Maastricht University: find out more about one of the most international universities in Europe, immerse yourself in your programme of choice, and explore our beautiful city. Staff, students and alumni will answer your questions and share their experience of UM and life in Maastricht.
Maastricht University (UM) is known for its International Classroom and unique, small-scale approach to teaching: Problem-Based Learning. PBL nurtures skills relevant to the labour market of the 21st century, such as independence, critical thinking, initiative, curiosity and creativity as well as soft skills. Under the guidance of our experienced tutors, you analyse and solve relevant, complex problems in small international groups.

The programme
Information sessions
Information sessions start at 11:30, 12:30 and 13:30 hours. First, there will be a word of welcome by Christine Neuhold, Director of UM Campus Brussels, who will tell you a few things about Maastricht University, its master’s programmes and the Problem-Based Learning model.
During the sessions, be sure to put your questions to UM students and alumni. They will be able to tell you more about their experiences at Maastricht University and about life as a student in the most international student city in the Netherlands.
Information market
You can visit the information market before and after each information session. It will offer you specific details about the masters's programmes, the admission requirements and practical matters such as hunting for a student room, for example. The information market will be open from 11:00 to 15:00.
