On Wednesday 25 September, Maastricht celebrates the birthday of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs or Global Goals), adopted in 2015 by the United Nations. The Global Goals are envisioned to end hunger, poverty, inequality and climate change, while providing tools for transitioning to a sustainable society. We can only achieve the Global Goals if we act together locally. That is why Mondiaal Maastricht, together with Maastricht municipality, Maastricht University and many partner organisations, is organising the Act for Global Goals Day.
