Emmanuelle Poinas (E.E.M.)
I am a Teaching Fellow in of the Philosophy Department. I teach across philosophy, cultural studies, political history and postcolonial critique at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and University College Maastricht.
I am trained in Literary Studies, with a focus on contemporary literature and arts. My theoretical background is in Cultural Theory broadly speaking. I value interdisciplinarity in research designs, ranging from Political Economy of Health to Intersectional Feminist Theory.
My interest lies in understanding and theorising further the relationship between power and (physical and mental) health, using for example memoirs, interviews, and fictional works.
