Do you have the ambition to study (or work) in higher education and do you speak Dutch (at least at B1 level)? Would you like to be well-prepared for your new study (and have you not previously been a pupil or student in the Dutch education system)? Then sign up for the course “Preparation for Higher Education”.
This course prepares you for studies at MBO4, HBO, or university level. It doesn’t matter whether you plan to follow a Dutch-taught or English-taught program; what matters most is that you are motivated. It is also important that you already have an idea of which field of study interests you.
The course consists of 36 contact hours (approximately 18 teaching weeks with 2-hour group sessions), supplemented with individual guidance. There are two start dates per year (subject to sufficient registrations): in October and March.

The VoHo course is designed as much as possible to align with the final objectives of the education track within the Dutch Civic Integration Act. This means that the course content is specifically aimed at participants who are not yet familiar with the Dutch education system. The goal of the course is to give participants a strong start in their studies, helping them reduce the risk of dropping out.

The VoHo course came at exactly the right time. The lessons and guidance helped me choose a study program. With the support of my mentor, I was also able to arrange the financial side of my studies. In a few years, I will have a Dutch MBO4 diploma. This is a dream come true for me, and without the VoHo course it would not have been possible.
