Baig Abdullah Al Shoumik (B.A.A.)
I am currently working as a Doctoral Researcher at Maastricht University, in the Department of System Earth Science in Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo. My work integrates large-scale soil datasets, machine learning approaches, and climate scenario modelling to assess present and future changes in terrestrial carbon cycle and nutrient dynamics. I have extensive experience working with large soil datasets, predictive modelling, uncertainty analysis, and statistical modelling.
Key expertise and interest -
- Soil organic carbon (SOC) fractions, soil structure, and nutrient stocks
- Terrestrial carbon cycle
- Climate change impacts on soil organic carbon
- Interactions between climate change and nutrient manipulation on plants and soil
- Machine learning and predictive modelling
- Large-scale soil datasets and spatial analysis
- Advanced statistical modelling
Expertises
