Ölelve
Ölelve, UM’s Sexual Safety Student Association, welcomes all students who want to help shape a safer, more open, and supportive student community. Interested in conversations around sexual violence prevention, sexual well-being, community-building, and creating real impact on campus? Then Ölelve might just be your place.
There are many ways to get involved, whether you have 10 hours per week, 1 hour per week, or even 1 hour per month, everyone is welcome.
What can you do at Ölelve?
At Ölelve you can:
- Become a member
- Make new friends
- Find a community of like-minded students
- Be a student lecturer for the ‘Are you Okay?’ lectures
- Help spread the word about Green Dot
- Spread the word about sexual safety and increase awareness
- Contribute to social media
- Organise in-person events
- Start a book club
- Get creative with art
- Attend lectures,
- And many more possibilities
We come together once a month during our general meeting, but there’s always something happening in between. Members are also welcome to join committees, collaborate on projects, support events, or start their own initiatives. Many options, many perspectives, and lots of opportunities to create something meaningful (and fun!) together.
Ölelve is part of UM’s Sexual Safety Programme and the Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity + (DEI) Office. The new board will be announced on June 15.
Training and acknowledgement
Through the Sexual Safety Programme you have access to training. Further, as part of UM’s Global Citizenship Programme, you can be rewarded for your volunteer hours with an official eduabadge. More information can be found here.
