Budgeting your studies
Studying may cost more than your realise. There are costs related directly to your study - such as tuition, books and other materials. But other things, such as letting a room, buying food and drinks, going out and paying insurance premiums, can be costly too.
We have made a list of the average student's monthly expenses to give you an idea of these costs. These amounts are based on calculations made by the National Institute for Budget Information (Dutch: NIBUD). Please remember to take into account extra bills such as a student association membership, internet and TV subscriptions or extra books.
