Free Language Course with Scholarship: Dutch, German or French
Are you a UM student looking to boost your chances on the (EU) regional labour market? With a scholarship, you can follow a free advanced language course in Dutch, German or French (B2, B2+ or C1minus).
Why participate?
- Language skills are a key competence for employers.

- Dutch, German or French opens doors both regionally and internationally.
What does the scholarship include?
- Full reimbursement of the course fee after successful completion.
- A 14-week course at the UM Language Centre (starting in September or February).
- Limited number of scholarships, only for UM students (1 per person).

Requirements
- Minimum B1/B2 level in the target language (proven by certificate or intake test).
- Motivation letter (150–200 words in the target language) explaining why you want to take the course and how it supports your employability and professional development.
- At least 80% attendance (max. 2 missed classes).
- Completion of the end-of-course evaluation form.
Please note:
There are enough scholarships available. All students who meet the requirements will receive an email with further details after the course starts.
How to apply
- Register via the online registration form.
- Include your student number and choose the right course:
- NL-B2: for students with B1 or B2- (German speakers)
- NL-C1minus: for students with B2
- DE-B2: for students with B1
- DE-B2plus: for students with B2
- FR-B2: for students with B1
- FR-B2plus: for students with B2
3. No certificate? Take the online intake test.
After registration, you will receive a confirmation email with all details.
