"Quality of Healthcare for Patients With Diabetes in Primary Healthcare Centers Evidence From Saudi Arabia"

This thesis examined the quality of healthcare received by patients with diabetes in primary healthcare centers in Saudi Arabia. It focused on understanding healthcare quality from the patients’ perspective, including how patients experience their care, how their health and daily lives are affected, and how satisfied they are with the services they receive. The research involved 594 patients with diabetes and explored several aspects of patient-centered care, such as communication, access to care, emotional support, physical comfort, and involvement in decisions. The findings showed that different aspects of care matter in different ways to patients. Positive care experiences were generally associated with better health-related outcomes and higher satisfaction. The thesis also found that healthcare quality should not be assessed only through clinical results, such as blood sugar levels, but should also consider what patients themselves value. Overall, the research provides evidence to help improve diabetes care in Saudi Arabia and support a healthcare system that focuses more closely on patients’ needs and priorities.
