Re-Analogue: The Revival of Analogue Media in a Digital Generation

Delnaz's elevator pitch
My thesis explores the revival of analogue media in today’s digital age and especially among Generation Z, something I call Re-analogue. I used focus groups as my main method, incorporating activities such as dot voting and value walks. These helped me uncover the perspectives of participants who grew up surrounded by digital technologies but are increasingly drawn to analogue experiences. I found that many are motivated by a desire for authenticity, a connection to the past, relief from digital fatigue, and opportunities for creative and social expression. Working on this project helped me see how media choices reflect deeper human needs and how these dynamics shape consumer behaviour and digital well-being.
