New protest against cuts on 11 December in Maastricht
At the end of November, we made our voices heard in The Hague, but we are not there yet! Next Thursday, the House of Representatives will vote on the education budget for the coming year. Even with a number of opposition parties at the negotiating table, the cabinet's plans remain a danger to our university, city and region.
WOinActie UM calls on everyone to once again join together to speak out strongly against those cuts. On Wednesday 11 December from 14.30 to 15.30 at Plein 1992 in Maastricht, you too can join in. As the Executive Board, we support this initiative with all our hearts and ask those who can be there to do so.
Of course, we would like to give everyone the opportunity to join. But because of the short notice, scheduled teaching activities and exams will go ahead that afternoon.
We hope to see our UM community in large numbers at Plein 1992 next Wednesday! More information can be found on the WOinActie webpage.
